Carolina Herrera, the Venezuelan-American fashion designer known for “exceptional personal style” and for dressing first ladies from Jacqueline Onassis to Michelle Obama. The New York Times cited her designs as “elegant and worldly without ever being fussy”.

For spring summer 2016 collection, CH presented a soft palette, from pale blush to a bold fuchsia, she covered the full spectrum of rose.

“Held inside Manhattan’s Frick Museum, models glided down the make-shift runway in sheer layers of silk, the dresses so light they appeared to float in motion.” Mail Online

‘In fashion it is important to keep a little mystery,’ Herrera explained, referring to several peek-a-boo panels of delicate tulle. ‘I design clothes that are seductive and sensual, but I always leave something for the imagination. Fashion, after all, is about fantasy.’
